Namiita Kaigan Village is a complex which was designed by architect, Zai Shirakawa. It is located in Namiita Kaigan in Otsuchi Town, Ishikawa prefecture, and the complex houses surf shops and cafes etc. The complex makes the already beautiful scenery even more wonderful. A number of smaller buildings which are shaped like individual houses have been designed to come together side by side to create the complex. The roofs of the buildings are a distinct feature, so it was felt that the shape of these roofs will be an icon to the users of the complex. This is why the shapes of the roofs have been illustrated as a part of the logo.This design won the Good Design award in 2016.
