Terraced Fields is a café restaurant which is in Omura city in Nagano prefecture. This café restaurant was developed by a town planning company which supported the employment promotion project the city was implementing. This town planning company and the town revitalisation of the community to take place.As the name ‘Terraced Fields’ suggests, the interior of the café restaurant was designed to resemble the terraced rice fields in the area. Another theme in the design of the space was the enhancement of communication within the restaurant. The logo represents a terraced field by the use of the monogram ‘T’ and ‘F’.
